Almost every important educational reformation would bring about a set of new instructional models. While the centralization of educational culture are broken by its diversification, the Ideological and Political lesson found itself in an embarrass environment. Therefore, the case teaching in Ideology and Politics Lessons of middle school, with its superiority, appeared on the scene. As for the case teaching in Ideology and Politics Lessons, it refers to teachers give lessons with the help of related cases under the direction of certain teaching aims and principles and according to the needs of teaching contents. Through analyzing and investigating these ideological and political cases, students can accomplish the teaching task on the one hand, and on the other hand, case teaching in Ideology and Politics Lessons can function as a kind of interactive teaching models which has both intellectual and moral function. Combining some related theories and the educational practice, this thesis makes a probe into the theory and practice of case teaching in Ideology and Politics Lessons of middle school.There are four parts in my thesis. Chapter one is an overall introduction about the theoretical basis and definition of case teaching in Ideology and Politics Lessons. Besides, the author tries to give a comparison of case teaching and teaching with examples and point out the distinction between the both. The second chapter emphasizes the possibility and necessity for employing case teaching in Ideological and Political lesson on the basis of analyzing its present situation. In chapter three, the author illustrates such concrete procedures of case teaching in Ideology and Politics Lessons of middle school from the practical angle as case design, case present, case analysis and case conclusion. In the last chapter, the requirements for both teachers and students in employment of case teaching in Ideology and Politics Lessons of middle school are put forth, which gives the clear direction for them both to work hard.
