The high school ideological and political curriculum combines the basic knowledge of socialism with Chinese characteristics,economy,law,international community,culture,philosophy and so on,and aims to guide students to connect with a wide range of theoretical knowledge and practical life experience,so that students can understand the true meaning of political disciplines,improve students’ overall ability at all latitudes and cultivate their core qualities.In order to achieve this goal,in recent years,the new curriculum reform for political teachers,classroom teaching,students have clearly put forward a new high standards and strict requirements.In this educational environment,many front-line teachers attach importance to playing the important role of student subjectivity in the classroom,and persistently try to use a variety of new teaching methods to improve the quality of classroom teaching.The thematic case teaching method can let students put academic theoretical knowledge into the concrete process of solving practical problems,and can also effectively stimulate students’ enthusiasm for studying politics,which is a new teaching method that meets the requirements of the times.The use of this teaching method in high school thought and politics class can subtly enhance students’ abilities,and then develop their overall ability in all aspects,which is to realize the teaching long-term and optimize the choice of classroom.This article is divided into four parts.The first part is to define the specific concept of thematic case teaching method by collecting,analyzing and integrating the related research results of previous scholars on thematic case teaching method,consolidating the theoretical foundation,and giving this article a solid theoretical support.The second part is through an in-depth investigation of Yantai No.3 Middle School,to truly understand the application of the current thematic case teaching method in high school ideological and political classes,combining the author’s insights from listening to,commenting,and teaching.The problems in the actual application process mainly include four aspects: the low frequency of daily application of the teaching method,the inverted theme-based case and theoretical knowledge,the inappropriate content design of the theme-based case,and the fact that teachers tend to misinterpret the essence of thematic-based case teaching.Then,in view of the specific obstacles and difficulties,it is difficult to develop thematic case,teachers’ understanding of thematic case teaching is not deep enough,teachers’ lack of professionalism and students’ poor self-learning ability are four perspectives to clarify the causes behind the problems.The third part is to put forward actionable and targeted measures for the problems and causes: one is to share and co-create and build a resource sharing platform;the second is to strengthen research and optimize thematic case teaching;the third is to update the concept and improve the professionalism of teachers;It is to change the way to guide students to learn independently.The fourth part is to select the lesson "Where does the understanding of people come from",use thematic case teaching method to teach,implement optimization strategies into actual teaching,provide certain reference for front line political teachers,and effectively improve the theme.The actual effect of the application of the case teaching method.
