The teaching level and quality of education has been fully developed in Shaanxi province, since new curriculum reforms were carried out officially in 2004. It has been highly enhanced and improved in teaching thoughts and modes widely for teachers, also with a big increase in learning efficiency and accomplishment for students as a result. Students should be regarded as the principal part of education, whose learning styles are attracting extensive attention of scholars, which indicates that under circumstance of new curriculum reforms, students'learning styles should be the key point in education reform and study. Whereas, in some rural areas of Shaanxi province, students' learning styles and related studies lag relatively behind.Through the investigation made of students' learning style on senior high school physical new curriculum in rural area of Shanxi Province, this paper develops the survey as follows. First, it studies the innovative mode of physical new curriculum as well as problems found during its implement process, and specially emphasize attention to current situation of students'learning styles during its implementation; Second, through literature searching, it makes a systematic theory study on learning styles from various perspectives, and it studies drawbacks in traditional learning styles, and consequently comes up with new ones proposed by physical new curriculum; Third, representative senior high schools are widely selected as samples to conduct necessary questionnaire surveys and interviews; Fourth, with data analysis result based on the survey, this paper summarizes existing problems in senior high school physical new curriculum learning styles of students in rural area in Shanxi Province, with a further exploration into their causes; Fifth, according to the questions found in the research, offer reasonable proposals and countermeasures to improve students'learning style. In rear of total research and investigation, following basic conclusions can be reached.1. Students'transformation in learning styles is an essential component of senior high school physical new curriculum reform, while it must be fully realized that learning style is of vital importance in education reform.2. Practical survey proves that students'learning styles have been altered primarily during senior high school physical new curriculum in rural area of Shanxi province.3. Since the implementation of new curriculum, learning styles of students in rural area have changed but not fundamentally, so that further optimization in learning style is necessary.4. In promoting students' learning styles, evaluation mechanism appropriate to new curriculum must be improved with the least delay possible. And with enhanced professional training in practical teaching, teachers gain constant improvement in self-quality, update teaching concepts, and make a full use of class resources.
