It is required that the students'learning styles should be changed in another round national Curriculum Reform for high senior schools. It advocates that students study individually on their own initiative instead of past passive mechanic learning style so as for them to be gradually provided with leaning abilities of self-determination, cooperation and exploration as well as reasonable value. However, there are lots of challenges and a long way to go according to the requirement of the new curriculum reform with the influence of the traditional teaching and learning styles. Hereby it is necessary to explore into this problem.The paper gives comprehensive analysis and discussion about recent history subject's learning styles for high senior schools based on the former research, the modern learning theories and also the concept of the new curriculum reform. For this research, I am using combined methods, which are mainly literature research, demonstration and experimentation.The paper includes three parts:1. The first part is the preface. It mainly discusses the background and the significance of the history subject for high senior school.2. The second part. It talks about the challenges and problems with the learning styles of history subject.3. The last part. It is the most important part, which explores into the question from theory, practice and other aspects. It gives a thorough analysis about the question so as to find a way to wipe out those barriers. It discusses the meaning of learning styles from the point of theories, which gives a new view to explain the characteristic of learning styles ,the application methods and principles. This is the premise of solving problems. In practice, I adopt new teaching method in order to promote the change of the students'learning style in history study, trying to find an effective method to shake off the difficult situation. I try to change the role with the student, constructing equal, democratic and timid relationship, which is the key to solve problems. I take many kinds of measures: using multiple evaluations, correctly dealing with the relationship between the concept of new curriculum standards and the concept of the entrance test for universities, using new view to demonstrate the rationality of changing learning styles. Based on above, we can remove the people's collision to the new curriculum reform so as to build nice social environment especially the family educational environment.From this research, we conclude that it can not only arouse the students'learning interests, but also cultivate the students'ability of self-determination, cooperation and exploration. It suggests new way and methods for the change of learning styles.
