Ideological and political education is facing unprecedented experience in the 21st century. With the increasingly diverse Circumstances ,ideological and political education is still not free from the idealized, knowledged, tooled errors which lead to ideological and political education far away life. Marxism-life philosophy and Western life-world theory as a basis for philosophical argument, advocating a return of ideological and political education to life-world has important ontology, value theory and methodology sense. Ideological and political eduation originates in life,serves for life and exits in life. What kind of life can as a basic point of ideological and political education? And to which kind of life is the ideological and political education have to return in the end? Life itself is a kind of life activity process from the phenomenon to the essence , i.e. life is based on real life world, where increacingly realize self-generation and self-development through the external force of education. This put the intuitive, the authentical, experienced, and non-philosophical sense of real-life world as a starting point of the value, and reveal the process people realize internal development and growth through the impact of external education. The popular connotation and the philosophical conception of life are integrated and achieve a complete interpretation of life. So, life as a basic point of ideological and political education include both the good life and the bad life. The moral and good life focus on the process that the ideological and political education originates in life . But the bad life emphasizes on servicing in the life and changing the bad life into good life under the effection of ideological and political education, then contributing to the generation and development of human, highlighting the value of ideological and political education. In a word, the so-called "return"is "service","guidance, and assurance". Ideological and political education should return to the people's real life. On the one hand, it means that ideological and political education services, guidances, and ensures good life for the better life .On the other hand, more emphasises should be placed to ensure the bad life converts to the good life. On this basis, I analyze what is Life-oriented and what is Life-oriented ideological and political education. The nature of ideological and political education is to make human more freedom and more comprehensive development. In fact, both ideological and political education and life have the same inherent nature . These provide a theoretical proof for Ideological and political education return to life. At the same tine , this article argue that ideological and political education should learn from the history and the other countries'experiences. Reference to the characteristics ,the type and the function of the college students'living world, in addition to adhere to the main principles, such as the scientific, humanic, social principle, ideological and political education should create environment that contributes to students'development and fully use the power of society and public resources to achieve the all-round motivation,and lead the effectiveness of ideological and political education to more consolidation and more sustainable development.
