As a modern product, social work provides supportive assistance toclients with guidance to altruism and scientific methods, which plays animportant role in solving social issues. However, we have to face thefollowing questions in the progressive development of social work: First, thelow social awareness of social work; Second, Chinese pay attention to theinternal and external relations; Third, the obstacles of the traditional mode ofassistance. So what is the role of social workers in the professionalrelationship? How is the role transition of social workers in the professionalrelationship? Thus, this paper aims to use the perspective of "outsider" and"insider" to generalize and explain the role transition of social workers in theprofessional relationships.The study is based on observation and interview, which tries to use thenew perspective of "outsider" and "insider" to generalize and explain the roletransition of social workers in the professional relationships. The paper pointsout, social workers transform from broad sense outsiders to narrow senseinsiders in the process of social work practice. First of all, the foundation oftrust, which includes the demand of trust, institutional trust and interpersonaltrust. And trust objects include others, social roles, institutions ororganizations; Secondly, there are many methods of the role transition ofsocial workers: humane attitudes, professional skills and comprehend. Then,when social workers have transformed from outsider to insider, they will facewith the professional relationship, face, the culture of reciprocation andemotional questions; Faced with these difficulties, the paper distinguishesbetween “behavioral dilemma” and “ethical dilemma”. Finally, the paperpoints out that social workers should remain professional, the rational roledetaching is a way of following the code of ethics.
