By studying the history and current situation on curriculum-content constructingof History and Social in Chinese middle school, and based on the theory of expandingcircles with the same core, environment-developing model, course structure modeland types of structure in social-curriculum surrounding “three core”, this paperanalyzed four different course standard of History and Social in Chinese middleschool(in this paper called them “curriculum-standard1”,“curriculum-standard2”,“curriculum-standard in Shanghai” and “curriculum-standard in2011”for short)fromthe difference in train of thought and standard of the content, main shaft of the themeand the basement of theory in curriculum-content constructing. This paper believedthat: Firstly, the four course standard makes great discrepancy in the train of thoughtand standard. Secondly, each curriculum-standard has main shafts of the theme, butwith different number and contents in the shafts of the theme. The“curriculum-standard in Shanghai” has disparity with others for the reason that it hasa12years “together-disparity-together” study system of social course system, so itdoes not has a main shaft of the theme except the social course in Grade9.Thirdly,from the theory of structure in social-curriculum, the “curriculum-standard1”followeda sequence from oneself to home to school to hometown to district(nation) and to theworld, the same as he theory of expanding circles with the same core.The“curriculum-standard2” has a connection with environment-developing model,but it added time dimension on the space dimension, and with different peopleactivity. The “curriculum-standard in Shanghai” has a obviously character in coursestructure model; and curriculum-standard in2011”constrcted its course content by thecore of social problem.Sum up the investigation on students and teachers and draw lessons from theexperience in the USA, this paper believe that there are three trends for theconstructing of History and Social to develop in the future: First is to combine thecourse from primary school to high school. Second is make the shafts of the theme tobe the main way to construct the course. Third is to study the whole problems with the course, to educate the junior middle school students to be a citizen, to broaden thecarrier of the course and to make the teaching process more easy to operate byperfecting the course standard.
