Both from the breadth and the depth, and fromThe Internet is more convenient and complicated than ever. Meanwhile, the advent ofthe Internet era to people’s political life also has brought far-reaching influence.Actually, whether admit or not, political participation, as an important part of peoplelife, has entered an era of network, college students can access to the politicalinformation, express political will and even participate in the political activities on thenetwork platform. Actually, compared to the past, college students’ understanding,discussing, participate in politics has not only in breadth and depth, and theenthusiasm and effectiveness in a qualitative leap. Studying the collegestudents’ network participates in contents, methods, characteristics, motivations, theexisting problems and governance policies, etc. On this basis, researching universitystudents’ internet political participation.From aspects of content, today, college students in Kunming mainly concentrateon the international relationship and domestic political. To the internationalrelationship aspect college students mainly concern on the hot issues about China’srelationships with the United States, Japan, Europe, Russia and the neighboringcountries. From the aspect of domestic political college students mainly concern onthe hot issues about domestic political life, economic development, social stability andmilitary development. From aspects of forms, college students in Kunming mainly useways of government network Forum, and Civil network Forum, and micro-letter andblog, and network QQ group, and stick, and personal electronic mailbox, and fetion toparticipate internet political activities. From aspects of features, The mainperformance include an upward trend in the number of college students’ politicalparticipation, college students’ concern for their own rights and interests, and collegestudents’ internet political participation more team-oriented and private. From reasonsfor participation, manifest that college students pay more and more attention to thestate and the government, the improvement of government openness, governance are more in accordance with the law and reasonable, the development of networktechnology pay more attention to the use of mature technology and the userexperience. But in terms of the requirements of democratic political participationitself, college students’ internet political participation still exist many problems,mainly in the students themselves, universities, government departments at threeaspects. After the analysis of the existing problems, this article form the aspects of therelevant government departments, colleges, families and college students, put forwardcountermeasures and suggestions of normative and orderly political participation ofcollege students.
