| With the development of technology, various forms of technology has permeated every aspect of life. Living in a world filled with technology, people have been asked to become the one who has technology literate. In order to comply with the requirements of the times, people began to accept technology literacy education in primary school. According to studying primary school students’technology literacy, this paper will provide some information and basis to reform technology education.This thesis is based on research survey on domestic and international technology literacy, and discusses the technology literacy framework to propose survey system of pupils’technology literacy. In addition, by extracting technical education curriculum content from domestic science courses, IT courses and comprehensive practical activities, the questionnaire in the paper has good reliability and validity due to combining that content and the daily experience of students. Technology literacy has four levels:technical knowledge; technology skills; technical ideas and methods; technology attitudes. A questionnaire survey to sixth-grade primary school students in Haidian District has been done to get the information about the students’technological literacy in general.The results showed that,57.7percent of students scored higher, indicating that the contents of courses in technical education in the schools are practiced well, and students can understand the basic meaning of the technology. The study found different schools, different parental education and occupation, and different activities have little effect on pupils technology literacy. The impact of gender on technology literacy is showing interesting results, the boys in technical knowledge, skills, ability to conduct technical ideas and methods and the assessment are better than girls, but in technical aspects of emotion and attitude, there is no significant difference. In addition, in specific technical practice, there are some difficulties for students to use (technical operations) the tool. This is the characteristics of blindness.Therefore, this thesis put forward to improve teachers’technology literacy, in order to provide opportunities to develop technical operations capabilities of each student, and strengthen contact between technical knowledge and behavior ability. |
