Language carries the culture and national spirit, and is also a national civilization important media to spread to the world. Foreign language learners in learning a foreign language, if only focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, ignoring the meaning of the culture behind the language carrying on, will seriously affect the foreign language learners’ ability of applying the language and the language background of communication, and so is learning Chinese.Chinese culture lesson of32high schools in Gyeongsangnam-do area were investigated, analyzed existing high school Chinese culture teaching in this area, and puts forward the suggestions to solve these problems, combined with teaching experience, make my own contribution on Chinese teaching in this area.The introduction part mainly elaborates the background, purpose and significance of this topic, and overview of the research on the topic.The first chapter introduces the history and present situation of Chinese teaching in South Korea and in Gyeongsangnam-do area.The second chapter conducted a survey on this topic design. The investigation mainly from two aspects:on the student questionnaire and interviews of teachers. The design from the survey scope, purpose, content and method of investigation and survey results etc.The third chapter and the fourth chapter is the key chapter of this paper. The third chapter mainly analyzed by the questionnaire and interviews, from the curriculum, teaching materials, teaching methods and means, teaching and students’ willingness. The fourth chapter as the result of the analysis summarizes the problems existing in high school Chinese culture courses in Gyeongsangnam-do area and put forward suggestions for the improvement of the effective. The last part is the summary, hope the Chinese teachers can pay more attention to Chinese culture, and actively promote their occupation accomplishment.
