Cooperative learning is one of the autonomous learnings, strongly promoted by thenew curriculum reform. In this study, I tried to apply the Mind Map, an advances thinkingand learning strategy, to the cooperative learning. Starting from the theory of cooperativelearning and mind map, the way of applying the mind map into the physics cooperativelearning was supported theoretically and the its feasibility was also analyzed. Through theinvestigation on the current situation of high school physics cooperative learning andthinking strategies, problems and difficulties were discovered in the problem-solvingthinking strategies. To address these issues, I have theoretically constructed the applicationof Mind Maps in the high school physics cooperative learning, which includes the generalprocedure of the application, the scope features of the applied lessons, teaching principlesand characteristics. As the reference example, I have demonstrated the applications ofmind maps in two different type of physics cooperative learnings. In this study, I carriedthe theoretical research and practice tests on the year one high school student at JiangsuSuzhou Experiment School over a period of one semester. In the teaching practice tests, wehave obtained some results in improving and training students study skills in cooperativelearning and thinking strategies. We have also noticed some inadequacies in this research.
