In today technology era and information society, many countries regard the"learning to learn" as an important purpose of school education is extremelyconcerned about the students’ independent thinking, Autonomous learning ability. InStudents in upper primary segment, already has a certain mathematical foundation,students self-learning ability in this section is very necessary grades and feasible. Inthis light, under this background, to explore effective measures upper elementarymathematics self-learning ability, not only can improve the quality of teachingmathematics in primary schools, and enabling force to promote overall developmentof students, with a strong practical significance.This study of this subject is by theoretical and empirical methods to investigatethe cultivation of primary high-grade math self-learning ability. On the basis oftheoretical research, this article has the empirical research, which conducted aquestionnaire survey on the412primary high-grade students which are all study inXiang lu jiao school. By this survey we found the elementary mathematics highschool students self-learning’ problems are those: self-discovery learning for whichthere is a lack of student awareness, self-learning awareness, and the self-learningability not strong, low self-management skills, lack of self-learning positive emotionalexperience and other issues.Then, for resolving the problems, the article combined with the author’s practiceand thinking, given the training strategy upper elementary mathematics self-learningability, namely, strengthening self-learning education to help students buildself-learning knowledge; attaches great importance to cultivating students’independent learning ability, enhance student awareness of the main self-learning;innovative mathematics teaching methods to improve students’ self-learning ability;rich emotional experience of independent learning, develop good study habits.
