.In recent years, it easy to see that the current English teaching model and the method cause some disadvantages in English teaching,that is the disability to speak English, the disability to listen to English,time consuming while inefficient, high marks and low ability. With the development of a new basic education curriculum reform, the task-based teaching method which has been explicitly advocated in English curriculum standard,aroused the deeply research and discussion by education theory workers and teachers.It can reduce the disadvantages of traditional teaching, It’s concept is that learning through doing,using by learning,learning fou using.So far,there are many research about task-based learning method by all scholars of task-based teaching method from theory to practice.So, what are the status of these studies? How are the Task-based learning method in foreign language teaching in our country ought to be effect and reality effect? What are teachers’ and students’ understanding of task-based teaching? What difficulties does the Task-based learning method meet with? What measures should be taken so that it will play the role? It is deserved that must be research the use situation of the task-based learning method.This study selected200students in grade four, grade five, grade six in Mingdemen primary school yanta district in xi’an and take the questionnaire survey to them.Through the Interview to a total of five English teachers belong English educational research group.Based on referring to the domestic and foreign research results, the use of task based teaching method in English Teaching in primary school to carry on the analysis by the use of questionnaires and interviews, we can found that some problems:(1) the objective aspects:lacking of English environment, large class size, the education and training is not in place, the fixed evaluation mechanism.(2) the subjective aspects: teachers’ educational ideas do not change, task design service quality should be improved. The questions about students:psychological factors, the attitude towards English learning, knowledge base, fixed thinking. Aiming at these problems, the author put forward the following suggestions:changing the concept of teaching subject, correctly treating the task based teaching method; designing attention task, meeting the need of development of our students; to obtain cooperation from parents, the smooth implementation of task-based teaching method; playing the role of teaching and research group, the strengthening of teacher in the task-based teaching method of training; improving education evaluation mechanisms, to ensure the implementation of task-based teaching method.This thesis mainly divided into the following several parts:The first part, introduction, It mainly includes the research background, research significance, research review, research methods.The second part, the related introduction and analysis of the task-based learning method, which was carried out the task-based learning method comparing with the traditional teaching method, the analyzation of task-based learning method in ESL and EFL teaching, the analyzation of the design of task-based learning, the implementing necessity and feasibility of task-based teaching method in elementary school.The third part, the survey about the condition of task-based teaching method in primary school English teaching.this part’s main aim is to illustrate the research purpose of this research, the research’s object, the implementation process of the research, the processing and analysis of data information about this research.The fourth part, the results and the analysis of the study. sorting and classifying the collected information.Taking the cognition, emotion and attitude as the main target of classification, I analysis the detailed results about this research.The fifth part, research’s conclusion and suggestion, this part conclude the condition of survey and give useful comments and suggestions to the task-based teaching method according to the investigation.
