To improve students’ Chinese attainment is one of the basic concepts of language courses. The meaning of Chinese attainment is very rich, it can be summarized as language specific knowledge, language skills and emotional cultivate. Works with theatrical elements of tragic beauty have been selected into the High School Chinese textbooks, and they can enhance students’ language accumulation of knowledge, language skills and aesthetic emotion melt. However, when we see the teaching of tragic drama works, we feel very worried about that situation. First of all, teachers’ theories of tragic drama are not high. In addition, their teaching interest is not strong. What’s more, when the teachers try to dig its teaching value, the result is either superficial one-sided or confused with other stylistics. Last but not the least, they often lack of thinking of teaching strategies. For students, the phenomenon that students are with low interest, poor knowledge, poor foundation and inappropriate methods is very common.Recently, the research of drama teaching and other works of various genres of tragedy is more and more deeply. They are mostly confined to the aesthetic education, though a small part of them play an important role in improving the quality of students. In fact, few research papers and books study the tragic beauty factors of theater aimed at improving students’ Chinese attainment. As an important aesthetic category, tragic combined with the script can be better enhance the students’ Chinese attainment.Considering the above two points, this article discusses the value of the teaching and analyses the type and process of the teaching practice on the basis of the previous study, which is taken the PEP New Curriculum high school language textbooks in line with defined herein tragic beauty of the seven elements of dramatic works for example. After mainly discusses the significance of the study, clarifies the object of study and introduces the research methods and definitions with its related concepts, this article is divided into three chapters. The First chapter are mainly research and reflection for the teaching situation of beauty of drama and tragedy in high school language on the basis of a questionnaire survey, including the research and reflection of learning situation and teaching situation. Chapter II analyses the teaching value of beauty of drama and tragedy in new curriculum PEP high school language, including the accumulation of language knowledge, the enhancement of language proficiency and the melting of aesthetic emotion. Chapter Ⅲ investigates the teaching practice including teaching type and process, which is based on the works of dramatic and tragic beauty in new curriculum PEP works.Teaching type can be divided into three parts,which are a dialogue type of teaching reading, comparing exploration type and screenwriter performances type. Teaching process comprises three steps which are into reading situations in order to expect to read, restore and enrich works to understand the pain and experience and evaluation for the sake of getting emotional sublimation.In addition, based on the teaching type and teaching process, the author also attached a "thunderstorm (excerpt)" teaching simple case design for a demonstration.
