Self-regulated learning is one of the important quality which the students need. It is related to both the quality of the student’s learning and sustainable development. And it is also an important aspect of the learning habit. Ye shengtao once said:"Education develops habits." Fundamental education cultivates this habit. It is the footstone which promotes the development of the student’s future.As a studying ability, self-regulated learning is not only good for the student’s study in school, but also the foundation of lifelong learning and development in the future. Our world is bursting with knowledge. With the information technology developing rapidly, news and knowledge update as the time goes by.We have to keep learning, especially keep lifelong learning. Only in this way, we can adapt to the development of the age. It demands better ability about self-regulated learning. As a result, we must develop the study ability of self-regulated learning, teach the student how to learn by themselves, set the stage for lifelong learning.The period of Junior high school is the critical time in human’development. The student have bright future and great potentialities. It’s the best time to develop the student’s ability of self-regulated learning.while, students’independent leaning ability is generally staying on a very low level. Most students’ learning attitudes is passive, they lack independent thinking and the spirit of exploration. Some factors influent junior high school students’self-regulated learning level, but in writer’s opinion, the junior high school students are lack of effective method to guide is the most important factor.Mind mapping is an expression of Radiant Thinking, it is an effective way of thinking which is scientific and visible. At the same time,it is a useful learning tool to motive ideas and organize the thought. As an effective tool, mind mapping can improve the students self-regulated learning ability, change the student’s attitudes from passive learning to autonomous、flexibility、divergent、creative learning.But in our country, the research about using mind mapping to develop the students ability of self-regulated learning is only a few. So the writer want to use the theory of mind mapping and self-regulated learning to provide a way of developing the student’s ability about self-regulated learning,and try to explore some texts that can be put into practice.The article is divided into four parts.The first part is an introduction, including the research background, the cause and the significance of the problem, analysis of the research about mind mapping、maths self-regulated learning、mind mapping using in self-regulated learning at home and abroad, pose a question of the research ideas and methods.The second part is the theory about mind mapping and self-regulated learning, such as concept mapping、brain science、constructivism、scheme、cognitive learning theory and so on.The third part is some researching about mind mapping used to develop the student’s ability in self-regulated learning. It is contained the junior high school students learning effect from personal factors、behavior factors and environment. Try to do a tentative exploration in using mind mapping about cultivating self-regulated learning ability and show some case study.The last part is about the study findings and deficiency of the paper,make some recommendations.
