Composition teaching is an important part of language teaching, and writing is often regarded as a comprehensive reflection of students’ language literacy. However, in the practice, status of composition teaching is not optimistic. Composition teaching is in the state of disorder, mainly in terms of training targets, content and evaluation criteria. This leads to low efficiency of composition teaching, and students will lose interest in writing. To change this situation, composition teaching needs a set of scientific and rational teaching sequence.The first part of this article analysis the current status of composition teaching, summarize a few outstanding issues that exist in composition teaching. Such as teachers do not pay enough attention to composition teaching, there is flexible in teaching period, content and evaluation criteria, the teaching contents limited and too take an exam, and it is difficult to make students interested in writing. In second part of the article puts forward the concept and theoretical basis of composition teaching serialization. Composition teaching as a kind of ability training, should respect the student’s cognitive rules. So the composition teaching should be orderly, it is determined by he new curriculum standard and present teaching material. The third part of this article mainly combs the experience of predecessors on the composition teaching serialization. In ancient times, people began to explore the composition teaching system, and their results provide useful reference for the later teaching and research. In recent years, there are many first-class teachers and researchers have been researching on the sequence of composition teaching, and make a great progress on summarizing a variety of methods. Such as the kind of using information from students’ books, the kind of improving student’s creation, the kind of combining reading with writing, the kind of changing student’s mind to think about things, the kind of the styles of contents, the kind of teaching different parts which students wrote bad in his passage. These provide useful reference for teaching and research. The article is on the foundation of predecessors’ research achievement, reference the current high school textbooks (pep), combined with the new curriculum standard and my own thing. In the fourth part of this article, the author puts forward a conception of establishing high school composition teaching sequence. Include building a basic teaching sequence from senior one to senior three, and putting forward the related implementation strategy, such as combining reading with writing; pay attention to accumulating writing materials, And life combined to stimulates the student interest, diverse composition mechanism and change evaluation methods.I hope that through this research I can give the high school composition teaching and research to bring a bit enlightenment and help.
