With the rapid development of science and technology, training specialized person with the high innovative spirit and practical ability has become the main task of the higher education, that is to say, training students’ innovative ability is its main goal. In recent years, universities have generally think highly of and actively promoted innovative activities, especially the scientific and researching innovation activities. With the Innovation Experiment Program for Undergraduate carried out in2007, college student scientific and researching activities was been pushed a rapid development. Relies on the Innovative Experimental Program and Frequently Help Research, our school vigorously promote the development of students’ scientific and researching innovation abilities. At now, the number of participated students and project support all showed a higher growth. However, through interviews and survey, the author found that there are significant contradictions, between college students’ enthusiasm and rising research ability, between research capacity building and the existing system. Therefore, in order to meet the many requires, such as the needs of continual development community for human capacity, the enthusiasm of students to participate in research projects continuing to rise, the number of subjects increasing every year of the project, it is very necessary and urgent to enhance research capacity of university students.The study conducted content analysis for the literature about influencing factors of undergraduate scientific and researching ability under the guidance of niche theory, and summarized from internal factors and ecological factors. Through interviewing the students and instructor participating in research projects, the author finalized17internal factors and external factors19. In order to ensure the factor with system and science, through the gray relational analysis of correlation, the study delete the low correlation factor, at the same time, revised some factor combining with interviews. Using gray relational clustering, the study clusters similar factors to make research system more simple and clear. Second, using causal diagrams to clarify the relationship between the various influencing factors, then using Vensim PLM software to build a affect system dynamics flow diagram for college research team developing, in the guidance of niche optimization theory, the study presents niche dislocation strategy, niche expansion strategy, niche coordinated strategy for scientific and researching team in virtual environment. Finally, in order to effectively enhance the undergraduate research capability college students, the study build a growth platform using Moodle platform for collaborative research team, also design the structure and function of the platform.The main conclusions of this study are:(1) The undergraduate research team niche influencing factors includes internal factors and ecological factors, which has little relationship with the structure of the knowledge base, sharing mechanism, relationship between mentors and team members, but network resources, innovative point of view, collaboration platform, harmonious team atmosphere and other factors make a important influenced to the development of system.(2) Analyzing the mechanism of action system flow chart, we can see that the internal factors directly act on the niche college research team,and external factors through the internal factors affect the development of the system. By observing the flow chart, the end of many of the factors in the external factors cat on internal factors, such as network resources, collaboration platform, instructor, collaboration and exchange and so on, that is to say these factors play an important role in the development of the system.(3) Based on the spirit of niche optimization strategy, the study come up with the development strategy, build a growth platform using Moodle platform for collaborative research team. After investigation, the platform can basically meet the collaborative exchange for research team, and promote to enhance students’ research skills.
