From the Ministry of Education promulgated the "new high school curriculum program" has been in the past twelve years, Shandong Province took the lead in the province to promote the new curriculum reform in high school.So far, we have achieved good results. As one of the high-profile, English teaching has high-profile in this reform. As English teachers in high middle school, only if we change the traditional teaching methods and patterns,better our knowledge structure, improve our teaching methods and improve our major level, can we satisfy the need of teaching in the new curriculum reforming.In the new curriculum reforming, the English teaching and researching group plays an important part in strengthening the reformation of English teaching, promoting the professional development and ensuring the teaching quality of the school. However, owing to the influence of some factors, the teaching and researching group doesn’t pay much attention to the professional development of teachers. In the paper, the writer made a research on the English teaching and researching group of Shandong Laishan No1 middle school. Based on the questionnaire survey on the English teachers and the interview of the headmaster and some teacher, the writer aims to figure out the problems,give some suggestions on building a teaching and researching team and improve the activity and management of teaching and researching group.Hopefully, we can build a great team with teachers who have high level, have the ability to do research, and have the spirit of cooporation and devotion..The paper is composed of four parts:.The first part consists of the background of researching, the documents, the concept of the teaching and researching team and the researching methods. The new curriculum reformation bring a new life to teaching. As an important organization, the traditional teaching and researching group need to change itself to adapt to the development of teaching. It is exactly the best choice to adapt to the development.The second part includes survey and analysis. According to the survey, interview and research, we can conclude that it is essential to build the teaching and researching team.The third part contains the problems and causes. By analyzing the development of the teaching and researching group, I conclude that Shandong Laishan No1 middle school is dying for improving the activities of teaching and researching. We should set up a team wherethe teachers have the same aim, abundant knowledge and a strong desire for cooperation. so that we can promote the teaching progress of the whole school.The forth part maily talks about the stategies of team construction. Faced with the new situation of the high school development, the promotion of the entrance examination and the creation of teaching technology, the high school need to adjust itself to meet the needs of teaching reform. We should make every effort to set up a new education age full of ambition,ideals and responsibility.
