Niche Theory Of Chinese National Colleges Development Orientation

Representative of the characteristic of higher education in China, the universities for minority students are initiated by the national policy in higher education. With the development of reforms and the establishment of market economy system, the higher education in China has gradually become internationally competitive. The key in university management is to clarify its development goals in the strategic plan. Applying related theories in ecology, the thesis aims to provide some theoretical basis for the development of teachings in universities for minority students via data analysis.Based on the research object and its purposes, the paper states the current researches on the development of the universities for minority students in China, introduces the research methodology, and defines some important concepts.The second part analyses the problems and reasons in the development of13universities for minority students in China chosen in the research. From the analysis, the chosen universities have all failed to make clear their development goals and characteristics. Externally, it is due to the popularization of higher education, continuing development of the market economy, and the expand enrollment of universities; internally, the administrativization of management systems in universities for minority students, lake of scientific development notions, and poor formulation and implementation of development plans have to take the responsibility.In the third part, the paper provides a detailed introduction to the theory of ecological niche, and analyses the sound ecological relationship among those13universities for minority groups which can achieve a unique and sustainable development.The following part mainly focuses on the basis and rules need to be followed in the development of the13universities for minority groups; then in accordance with the basis and rules stated above, the paper has evaluated the development of the13universities based on the development models of ecological niche.The last part has put forward suggestions of the development of the13universities for minority groups. Firstly, to promote the unique development of the universities for minority groups by clarifying the development goals, strengthening the development of the superior disciplines, and consolidating the teaching qualities of the universities for minority groups; secondly, to strive to achieve a sustainable development with ecological niche as its theoretical basis.
