With the development of Chinese urbanization, people urbanization and rural urbanization are two important routes of Chinese urbanization. The core of urbanization is how to promote urbanization of Agricultural transfer population and realize farmers’ urbanization. Since Chinese rural vocational education is in the output, it has responsibilities for promoting transfer of labor force quality and cultivating new farmers. However, the talents that come from rural vocational schools still cannot meet the requirements of urbanization because of the lack of function orientation, layout structure and external security. Therefore, to cultivate the talents that fit the development of urbanization is a new mission of Chinese rural vocational education.Based on using the methods of literature research and comparative study, the thesis analyses the requirement of rural vocational education and the development situation of Chinese rural vocational education and compares rural vocational education of developed countries under the background of urbanization and find some methods for rural vocational education. This paper mainly divided into five parts:The first chapter states urgency of the transfer of rural labor force and farmers’ urbanization on the spot, which need to be promoted by rural vocational education. Transferring labor force and giving farmers vocational education are the requirements of economic industrial structure upgrade and harmonious society as well as farmers’ personal development. So, rural vocational education plays an important role in the process of urbanization.The second chapter discusses the environmental change of Chinese rural vocational education with the development of urbanization. The urbanization made economic, social and personal requests for rural vocational education. The urbanization also brought the upgrading of economic structure and agricultural modernization. A large number of transfer rural labor force come into the town, which can promote social stability and social justice.The third chapter introduces the history of Chinese vocational education and analyses the problems exist at present. The problems of function orientation make training objective lose its previous characteristics. The structure layout is not reasonable, which lead to lose competitiveness and cannot meet the requirements of market and educate. Rural vocational education also lack security and money by reason of external restriction.The fourth chapter summarizes rural vocational education and labor transferring in developed countries. The global vocational education will regard economic development as a driving force. It also enacted the perfect laws and policies and reformed management issues as well as made overall plans for educational resources. Also, it built a better qualification certificate system to connect vocational colleges and labor market, which guaranteed the popularization of vocational education.The last chapter mainly gives some suggestions for Chinese rural vocational education based on urbanization in terms of humanistic power, industrial power and system dynamics.This paper tries to states the development of rural vocational education under the background of urbanization. It analyses the problems of Chinese rural vocational education and takes example by developed countries’vocational education and finally gives some advice for Chinese rural vocational education for a better.
