Teachers as advance force of social development has been gradually recognised by the society, and more and more people focus on the improvement of teachers’ quality and ability. National and local authorities have issued relevant laws and regulations to guarantee the mandatory of teacher training, especially for new teachers,their training has be a separate a training programs. But what is undeniable is that there are a lot of problems for present teacher training. This study focused on the new geography teachers, analyze the new status of geography teacher training, find out the existing problems and reasons, and then deeply discusses how to improve the teachers’training efficiency. The job for new geography teachers and ordinary other teachers is meaningful. Teacher training efficiency raised, the growth of the next generation in the future will be more healthier.This research mainly adopts questionnaire, interview and so on to obtain the data needed to analyze, based on the analysis of the phenomenon that the new geography teacher training efficiency is not high and the cause of this phenomenon existence, utilize the idea of Llifelong education, Kirkpatrick Modeland and Adult learning theory to construct the countermeasures of solving the problem. Investigate the new geography teacher training situation of67schools of9district4county in xi’an, data show that the main problems of Teachers’ training can be roughly divided into two kinds, one kind is the characteristics of new geography teachers, that is the embarrassing status of geography teachers result in less training chance training resources, and etc., another kind is the common of all teachers training including the training content not succinct, training methods mainly is not appropriate, less activities and practice, quality of teachers’ training needs to be improved, insufficient funds, the related system is not sound. In order to solve the above problems, the author put forward some countermeasures, mainly including perfect ing system, completing the requirement analysis, reasonably installing training curriculum, establishing a lecturer’library and lecturer’certification system, setting up a scientific training evaluation and feedback mechanism and so on. Hope through these ways to improve the trouble of new geography teacher training effectiveness, sooner let the skilled teachers foster the healthy next generation in teaching post for our country...
