The problem of job selection is closely related to the problem of job attainment and is key to the career development of undergraduate students. On the basis of the research of occupational status attainment, the author points out that human capitals, social capitals and family background influence the job selection. Separating the job values into three dimensions-social, intrinsic and extrinsic, the author builds the hypothesis that work values influence the action of job selection. The results of binary Logistic regression proved the hypothesis and indicates that social work values lead to bureaucratic job selections and extrinsic work values lead to entrepreneurial job selections.
