Yunnan province is located in the southwest frontier, many nationalities, ethnicminority areas because of history and reality of a variety of reasons, long-term in astate of slow development. In recent years, countries promote the development ofYunnan extroversion, advances the strategy of Yunnan bridgehead for southeast Asia,South Asia, driving the rapid development of economy, society and environment inYunnan province. Ethnic minority areas of thought moral character class for thebasic common sense of marxism to spread and improve students’ ideological andmoral qualities, political quality and psychological quality is an important mission.Ideological and moral education compared with the developed areas lags behindrelatively weak, Yunnan ethnic minority areas of ideological and political educationpresent situation analysis and existing problems of the solution is more backward.This paper started from the junior middle school thought moral charactereducation of ethnic minority areas in Yunnan province with national basic presentsituation investigation found that the ideology and moral character, a goodeducation’s combination of features. At the same time also exist in teaching juniorhigh school Chinese teaching with flexibility problem, bilingual teaching of primaryschool teaching practice is relatively insufficient, the national moral education andculture with fewer resources, to improve the quality of teachers in four outstandingproblems. These problems have their particular regional, national character. Thispaper combines the basic theory of education and teaching experience abroad,focused on the teaching practice of junior middle school thought moral charactercurriculum in ethnic minority areas of the current situation, problems andcountermeasures. Stressing the need to build economic development andenvironment of education and national culture prosperity, in the ideological andmoral teaching to arouse the enthusiasm of teachers and students are two factors,various aspects: strengthening teachers’ quality, to bring into full play thesubjectivity of students in teaching. Teachers in the teaching of "adjust measures tolocal conditions", should pay attention to the use of teaching methods, teaching art,strengthen students’ ideological and moral education in life with the students, the combination of national culture.
