Preschool children are in the sensitive period of language,preschool bilingual education in border ethnic areas is the basis of bilingual education in border ethnic areas,and its development has important political,economic and cultural significance on the country and the region.On the basis of consulting and collating relevant literature on bilingual education and preschool bilingual education in border minority areas,this paper used questionnaires,interviews and observations to investigate the bilingual education of D kindergarten,the only bilingual biliterate model kindergarten in the national border counties in China-Lvchun County.The survey mainly focused on the bilingual education policy,mode,teachers,teaching,environment and parents of children in D kindergarten.According to the research,the bilingual mode in D kindergarten is "Chinese +minority language",bilingual teachers and parents of young children are more proficient in Chinese than Hani,and their attitudes towards bilingual education are more positive.However,parents’ awareness of bilingual guidance is weak,and the way of guidance is simple.And the establishment of bilingual environments in kindergartens and families focuses on Chinese.Bilingual teaching lacks localized bilingual teaching materials,teaching methods and organizational forms,so that it fails to take the characteristics of children’s physical and mental development into account.And even make the teaching evaluation incomplete.Insufficient bilingualism policies,financial support,environment creation,lack of teaching materials,shortage of teachers,and deviations in bilingual connotations of teachers and parents are all important factors affecting the development of bilingual education in D kindergartens.Therefore,in order to address the above issues,we can strengthen government policies and financial support,improve kindergarten management,strengthen teacher training and the establishment of the campus environment,improve bilingual teachers’ capabilities,enhance teachers’ understanding of bilingual connotations,boost the capabilities of young children’s parents,and adopt diverse guidance methods.With a view to promoting better development of preschool bilingual education.
