| University strategic alliance is a new pattern of organizational cooperation between universitiesand colleges in China at the stage of higher education universalization. It aims at reallocating highereducation resources and reorienting talent cultivating pattern as well as HE management mechanism.It’s a new pathway for realizing cooperative development among higher institutions. However, as newlyemerged, university strategic alliances face many challenges during its development, such as unclearobjectives, underdeveloped institutionalization and unstable development. Therefore, this research aimsat providing policy advice for developing high-performing university strategic alliances in China bystudying its status quo, analyzing functional elements and dynamics, as well as modeling universitystrategic alliance patterns. This research comes up with suggestions for developing high-performinguniversity strategic alliances in China from the perspectives of strengthening alliances’value, improvingorganization structure, enhancing institutionalization, establishing co-governance pattern and inhancinggovernment’s policy-making guidance. |
