| Self-study is the need of the development of times. The high school is the keyperiod when one’s world outlook, the outlook on life and values are formed. Duringthis period, the depth of students’ self-study learning ability plays a very importantrole in the future. It is clearly put forward that we need to change the pattern ofstudents’ learning in school education by the National New Curriculum Reform.Teachers should guide students to self-study learning, cooperative learning andinquiry learning. Geography practical teaching is under the background of newcurriculum reform, which is an important geographical teaching reform andinnovation. It is also the important supplement of the traditional geography teaching,extension and development. The teaching mode of geography practical teaching isstudent activity, which deepens students’ understanding of basic knowledge ofgeography, and strengthens the geography skills, as well as cultivates and developsthe students’ geography learning ability.The main research methods of this thesis are the cultural heritage research,observation, questionnaire survey, and experimentation, through which the authorcarries out the geography practice to cultivate students’ ability of self-study strategyand theory research and case study of evaluation system. The main contents andconclusions are as follows:(1) The theoretical basis of self-study learning. Based on the definition ofself-study learning, the ability of self-study learning and the geography practicalactivities. The author believes that the theoretical basis of self-study learning aresubject education theory, cognitive theory, meta-cognitive theory and humanismteaching theory.(2) The evaluation study of geographic self-study learning. We believe that theability of self-study learning includes the ability of independent planning,independent management and independent evaluation. on the basis of which, highschool students can form self-study learning ability evolutional index system andmodel method. (3) The research of developing students’ self-study learning ability in practicalactivities. Combining theory and practice, this paper discusses the general methodsand steps in high school geography practical activities, mainly discusses how tocultivate students ability of self-study learning through the high school geographypractical activities.After years of practice and research, the author deeply felt that geographicpractical activities help students “want to learnâ€,“be willing to learnâ€,“happy tolearnâ€, fully mobilizing the learner’s initiative and subjectivity. It can well cultivateand improve high school students’ ability of self-study learning. However, because ofthe limitation of time and ability, the research has many shortcomings, which remainsto be studied, such as evaluation of self-study learning ability. |
