The practical ability in Geography study means students should focus on and develop its research activities in a comprehensive and regional way,and it can exactly reflects the students' intelligence,ability to learn,ways of thinking,interest,attitude and their personal characters in this subject.its without doubt the key to Geography teaching.Besides,this ability is also an important aspect in connection theory with practice in study.Of course,Geographical practical ability is an important part of the core competence of this course.It is also playing an important role in Cultivating high school students' core competence of it,which can,therefore,optimize the teaching of geography,change the concept of teachers as well as promote the development of students' personality and non-intelligence.The action research in this article refers to these Practical and reflective research activities,in which we can help students to solve their problem of shortage of geography practice.In this paper,the author uses his or her own educational teaching practice as the Research object to explore to develop the students' ability of geographic practice in an independent way.through the previous class observation and practical teaching,it has been found that there are some problems in the specific teaching of students 'geography practice in S school: the students' and teachers' practice ability is not well developed.The problem is that they only use Video and picture display to cultivate students' geography practice ability and students' ability did not actually get a good training.As for this,our suggestion is that action research related to students' practical ability should be carried out on the basis of their existing teaching resources.By making use of the results of the research,we can provide certain theoretical support for middle school geography teachers in educating students' S geography practice ability and collecting some experience of this project.Also,we choose to collect text information in forms of classroom observation,interview,reports of daily teaching,students' homework.Therefore,we selected the following three teaching materials as our research text: "mineral rock specimens identification","the understanding of the common morphology" and "river accumulation geomorphicsimulation experiment".The implementation process of action research is divided into two stages,the first stage of action research,through the planning program-the implementation process-classroom observation-after-school reflection,so that the four action research links,how to carry out geographical practice,training students geography Ability,have a certain understanding.The second stage of action research,first of all,the first phase of action research process problems,analysis,and secondly,to improve the implementation of action research program,and through classroom observation and student work feedback information on high school students geography practical ability training problems for a deep reflection.Action research shows that: through the video,picture teaching methods,the students' ability to practice geography,there are some problems.Whether it is classroom or classroom,to carry out the practice of geography,to cultivate high school students geography practical ability has an important role,that is "to carry out the practice of geography is to cultivate students the ability to practice the carrier." Through this action research,whether teachers or students,or schools will have a better understanding in cultivating students' geographical practice ability,But in the cultivation of high school students' practical ability,we have a long way to go.In order to better improve high school students' practical ability,we put forward the following suggestions: change the teaching concept of teachers and strengthen the consciousness of practice of students;encourage resource-based learning and teaching and guide students to participate in practical activities;advocate a variety of learning methods and focus on learning experiences in different situations;complete the evaluation system of practical ability,especially,in students' performance evaluation.
