| On the teaching reform of the occupation education, the Ministry of educationhas put forward the basic idea of evaluation system and improvement of students’skill. Based on this idea, the teaching evaluation of the occupation education is nolonger on the students’ scores but on the improvement of the students’ abilities andthe training the students with actual operation abilities needed by the enterprises.Requested by the teaching reform, portfolio assessment as a process of evaluationmethod has the special superiority.Office Application, a common course for students’ certification in vocationalschool, emphasizes the text processing, graphics and information processing aimingat improving students’ abilities. Portfolio Assessment is used not only to checkstudents’ learning and their methods but also to present the dynamic process in whichtheir abilities are developed. Taking the occupation school students as its researchobjects through a variety of research methods, the thesis focuses on exploring thefeasibilities and effectiveness of the Portfolio Assessment.The first part of the paper is mainly about the research background,significance and research methods of Portfolio Assessment used in the course OfficeApplication in vocational school. The second part introduces the concept of PortfolioAssessment and the development of the research at home and abroad. The third andfourth parts are about both the practical application of the course PortfolioAssessment in the vocational school and its conclusion. The fifth and sixth partselaborate some suggestions and considerations which are the main parts of the thesis.The results show it is available to use Portfolio Assessment which can promotestudents’ professional courses and comprehensive abilities when the course OfficeApplication is in practice. Meanwhile it cannot be neglected that some limitationexists when Portfolio Assessment is carried out. Only through research on the theoryand its practice can Portfolio Assessment be improved further. |
