This study used the questionnaire made by myself. 589 undergraduate students from 5 schools took part in this survey. This study divided work values into four dimensions, including intrinsic values, extrinsic values, social values and prestige values. It talked about work values of university students in 7 aspects, including sex,school, major, grade, origin, family and self-evaluation.In intrinsic values, girls pay more attention to self-development than boys.Students from key universities care about interests, self-development, autonomy and creativity more than students from ordinary universities. Students major in humanities pay more attention to interests, self-development and creativity. Lower grade students also pay more attention to interests, self-development and creativity. Fathers with high professional education, children pay more attention to interests and self-development.Students with high family income care about self-development more. Students from large cities care about interests more than others. Students with good grades attach importance to interests and self-development. Students with strong work ability attach importance to interests, self-development, autonomy and creativity. Students with no difficulty of employments attach importance to interests and creativity.In extrinsic values, girls pay more attention to security and comfort. Students from key universities care more about security, students from ordinary universities care more about payment. Students major in humanities pay more attention to comfort.Students from other cities attach importance to payment. Students with high family income pay more attention to comfort. Students from small places attach importance to payment. Students with brothers or sisters attach importance to payment. Students with good grades and strong work ability attach importance to payment and security.In social values, girls pay more attention to social contribution, relations and equity. Students from key universities pay more attention to social contribution,relations and equity. Students major in humanities pay more attention to social relation. Lower grade students attach importance to social relations and equity.Students with good grades and strong work ability pay more attention to social contribution, relations and equity.In prestige values, girls pay more attention to reputation and authority. Students from key universities pay more attention to reputation and achievement. Studentsmajor in humanities pay more attention to authority. Fathers with high professional education, children pay more attention to reputation and authority. Students with high family income attach importance to reputation and authority. Students with good grades and strong work ability attach importance to reputation, authority and achievement. Students with no difficulty of employments attach importance to reputation and achievement.This study made recommendations for education. For students, career choice should be rational treatment.They should enhance self-efficacy and have correct views of families and themselves. For schools, they should guide students to combine self-development with social development. They should pay more attention on education of work values of students.
