Since American psychologist Freudenberger first proposed the concept of "burnout" in 1974, researches on “burnout” in the world has continued to deepen and expand, and has penetrated into various industries, which makes education also has been deeply concerned. The researches both at home and abroad show that teachers’ occupation is always one of the most stressful occupations, and teachers are the high risk group of burnout. As a group of teachers in the school, physical teachers’ burnout is also worthy of attention. PE teachers’ burnout affects their work efficiency and the teaching quality, which not only has negative effect on PE teachers’ physical and mental health development, but also hinders the growth of the students. Therefore, it is necessary to study the in the burnout of PE teachers.Chaohu City is a county-level city in Anhui Province, and the urbanization construction also put forward some new requirements to teachers, which will inevitably has certain influence on PE teachers’ burnout. Therefore, this paper studies high school PE teacher’ burnout of Chaohu City in Anhui Province. The research uses literature data method, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics and logical reasoning methods. According to the investigation, statistic and analysis on the burnout of 227 high school PE teachers in Chaohu City, Anhui Province, the result shows that the high school PE teachers of Chaohu city in Anhui province have different degrees of burnout in general. Different variables high school PE teachers’ burnout in Chaohu City, Anhui Province is different. Female teachers’ have mood swing relatively more easily than male teachers, they will feel tired more easily, and their sense of self fulfillment is higher; PE teachers age from 36 to 45 show the highest emotional exhaustion; along with increase of age, personalization and sense of self fulfillment decrease; the high school PE teachers who are not headmasters show the more serious emotional exhaustion and personalization, but they are more satisfied with their job; the higher educational background, the less emotional exhaustion, and the more sense of self fulfillment they have, but the obvious personalizing; along with the personal average income increasing, the emotional exhaustion, personalization and satisfaction are decreasing; the emotional exhaustion of the teachers, who have 21 years and more than 21 years teaching experience is least obvious; the personalization of the teachers whose teaching experience are less than 5 years is most obvious; PE teachers’ sense of self fulfillment are decreasing along with the increasing of their teaching experience; the degree of burnout of the PE teachers in country is higher in respects of emotional exhaustion and personalization, but these teachers are more satisfied with their job. From the discussion above, we can see that the urbanization development in Chaohu City, Anhui Province will promote the change of school property further, and it will also influence the PE teachers’ burnout; expectations of work, organizational factors, work load, social support, personality and other factors are the influence factors of Chaohu City High School PE teachers’ burnout.Through the research, the author found that the different demographic variables of high school PE teachers’ burnout in Chaohu city of Anhui province were different. The factors that cause the burnout of high school PE teachers in Chaohu in Anhui province are various. Therefore, we should explore to stop and alleviate the PE teachers’ burnout from many aspects. The author puts forward some suggestions from three levels, includes the society, the school and the teachers’ aspects: 1. Improve the social environmentEstablish a correct understanding and attitude toward social sports, PE curriculum and PE teachers; improve the treatment of PE teachers; establish a social support system, and establish appropriate expectations to PE teachers. 2.Improve the environment of schoolEliminate the contempt of the PE discipline and enhance the PE teachers’ status in school; adopt reasonable incentive mechanism; improve school’ environment, and create excellent campus culture; intensify the professional cultivation of PE teachers; reduce the intensity of the work of PE teachers, optimize teaching methods. 3.Adjust themselves activelyEstablish reasonable career expectations and seek social support actively; balance the relationship between work and family; have comprehensive understandings toward themselves, and forecast job burnout reasonably; faced with the pressure rationally, as well as learn the strategies of regulating and adjusting to oneself.
