It is a new developing research field in recent years in China about the teacher job burnout, because it involves the development of individual, family and society. It becomes the focus that people pay close attention to gradually. Great changes have taken place in China now; the quality education reform is carrying out like a raging fire. Acting as the propellants and undertaker of the new curriculum reform, teachers play an important role in the basic education reform and face unprecedented challenge at the same time. In such background, teachers' living, adaptility and development situation gradually become the attentive focus of Chinese educationists.Based of the analysis of existing materials and the theory of teacher development, the empirical study is a masterstroke. I will statistic and analysis the situation of teachers' job-burnout in our cities by questionnaire investigation, and interview two teachers in senior high school in Shanghai city in order to understand the situation of teachers' job-burnout in cities deeply. The purpose and content of this research are followings:1. Summarize the general actuality in domestic and aboard and the evolution of this topic through the investigation of literature.2. Deeply dig into: the situation of teacher job burnout (scope, extent), the relation of the demography variable and teachers'job-burnout (sex, age, marriage etc), and the main factors of leading to teachers' job burnout. I hope to make some further proposals to cope with teacher job burnout.Because of the difficulties and limited conditions, this investigation locked the studied objects in Beijing, Shanghai, and Xian and selected 100 teachers to answer the questionnaires. In order to analyze more deeply, two teachers were picked out in Shanghai city to be interviewed in narrative study. This paper consists of four parts as following:The first part puts forward the issues. It summarizes related research findings and combines related studying level, and then raises the purposes and core concepts of this article.The second part introduces the design and process of these questionnaires. It includes the selection of studied objects, the design and distribution of the questionnaires.The third part elaborates the process of interviewing two teachers of senior high school in Shanghai city; includes the situation of these two teachers, the process of conversation, the analysis of the result of conversation.The fourth part is the countermeasures and suggestion to cope with teacher job burnout.
