This paper is a study of Mr. Weng Tiehui, vice mayor of Shanghai, in charge of the project of ministry of education. This study is a major research project of philosophy and social science, the overall design and linkage of moral education curriculum in university, middle and primary school.2013——2015.①This subject divides the content of moral education into political identity, national consciousness, cultural self-confidence, personality, this paper mainly research the national consciousness education. Under the impact of globalization, the guiding ideology, economy and polity are challenged, so it is important to strengthen the national consciousness education.This paper consists of four chapters, the specific content as follows.The main contents of the first chapter include background, definition of national consciousness education, research review, research methods, research content and innovation.The second chapter focuses on classification research. This part firstly counts the number of national consciousness in history textbook about senior and junior school, and analysis the distribution and emphases. After the analysis of the data, we can find that, the contents of history textbook cover four parts of national interests, national conditions, national unity, international perspective, but focus on national interests and international perspective.The third chapter focuses on progressive research and a case study. From the study we can find that the quantity of explicit knowledge in junior history textbook is higher than that in high school, the rate of tacit knowledge is higher in junior school than high school. In the cognitive level, high school puts forward the higher cognitive demands, but not obvious. In history textbooks, writers set up the introduction part that follows the principle of students’ cognition from the near to the distant.The fourth chapter consists of summary and suggestions. This study found that, there are many advantages in history book. First of all, the contents of history textbooks cover four chapters of national consciousness. Secondly, junior school and high school both to expand knowledge outside the books, but the history book of junior high school pays more attention to get new knowledge through practices, or let students get more emotional experiences; high school pays more attention to improve students’ thinking ability, especially the divergence thinking and critical thinking. Thirdly, in the cognitive level, high school history textbook has put forward higher requirements. In the textbook of junior and senior middle school, writers set up introduction that follows the principle of students’ cognition from the near to the distant. Fourth, the junior high school history textbook is more vivid and interesting; senior high school history textbook is more coherent and persuasive. Due to various reasons, the history textbooks have some shortcomings. Firstly, the content of national conditions and the national unity is less. Secondly, in the content of the national consciousness education, high school history textbooks did not significantly enlarged compared to junior high school about the amount of knowledge. Finally, the cognitive level of high school is higher than junior school, but it’s not obvious. Light of this research, I provide three suggestions, firstly, the textbook should pay attention to the balance about national interests, national conditions, national unity, international perspective on the whole. Secondly, in cognitive level, the textbook should expand the progressive degree between junior and high school, cultivate students’ innovation. Finally, the textbook should pay attention to the important period of students’ moral emotions development.Finally, the author thinks that history textbooks are written based on the curriculum standard, in according to adjust the content of national consciousness education in history textbooks, we should adjust the curriculum standard. At the same time, we should speed up the update rate of the textbooks, in order to adapt to the trend of the times.
