Research On The Action Of Developing Children 's Story - Telling Ability By Picture Book

Schema story is a psychological structure and processing mechanisms, it is the internal structure of the story to reflect the expectation of the form.Story schema affect the understanding and memory of the story, on the other hand, the understanding of the story can also help story schema construction. At present,most of researches are based on the psychology, discussing the story structure,characteristics and functions of schema.Therefore, it is of great significance to study young children how to construct the story schema in reading from the perspective of preschool education.Picture books are popular among young children with beautiful pictures and bright colors, In addition, the education value enriched in those books are recommended by kindergarten teachers for the education value. In the existing picture book teaching study, teacher lends to develop children language and the cultivation of character,moral preaching, etc. They has less attention on the structure of the picture book.Based on the existing research background, we try to help children to develop their story schema construction ability through picture book teaching.We choose a group of 5 to 6 years old children, finally, 48 children are selected. The practice research was divided to two stages: the experimental and testing phase. In the experimental stage, the experimental group use “story schema founding” teaching,and the control group use normal teaching. This stage lasts for more than a month. In testing stage, both groups has to speak story independently with two picture books.The results showed that constructing the story schema can be learn by children as a skill. With the corresponding, the“story schema founding” teaching can help children to learn this skill and improve reading ability. Affecting children’s development of story schema construction ability has a variety of factors,such as the presentation of story schema in picture book 、the way of teacher questing、teacher’s facilitation skills、young children’s own experience and reading skill.
