With the development of industrialization and urbanization, various industrial parks have been constructed in rural areas, which have promoted the local economic development. Meanwhile, there is a massive influx of migrant workers and immigrants. Urbanization has been gradually formed. The learning environment of elementary school students who study and live in these areas has changed greatly and problems in their adaptability to the new environment become more and more noticeable. By means of scale tests, observes and interviews, the study was carried out among a number of students from Wangjia Village Elementary School in Gaoling County and investigated their adaptability to the learning environment. As a result, widespread problems have been discovered. Through analysis, the study summarized both external and internal factors that have an impact on the learning environment adaptability of primary school students. Moreover, with the aid of professional knowledge in social work, social practices, such as group activities, have been conducted successively among these students, which have improved their adaptability effectively. At the same time, based on the analysis of those factors and combined with the results of social practices, the study have provided suggestions towards what efforts government, community, schools, families, and students themselves should make in order to improve the learning environment adaptability.
