Teachers’ professionalization has become a trend in today’s world teacher education development as well as the direction of teachers’ education reform in our country. PE teachers in primary and secondary schools is an important part of teachers, teachers’ professionalization and high-quality has always played an important role on enhancing the students’ health, promoting the all-round development of students and improving the quality of physical education. But teachers’ professional development is a dynamic process which needs every teacher to improve their professional level and connotation through continuous learning and exploring. Training of teachers both on the connotation, form has become an important part of the specialization of teachers’ education. In the perspective of professional training of P.E. teachers in primary and secondary schools will help to solve the contradiction the PE teachers’ professional needs and the system of training, to promote the reform of training and the progress in teachers’ professionalization.By means of the method of documentation, interviews, questionnaire survey and so on in this article are taken in Xuhui district, including one hundred and thirty-five PE teachers in primary and secondary schools. The article involves the basic information of PE teachers in primary and secondary schools, professional status, the training status and the factors which influence the PE teachers’ training and so on. Exploring the basic situation on the training of the PE teachers in this district, main problems and the factors.Putting forward suggestions of PE teachers’ training in Xuhui district in order to improve the training construction and promote the teachers’ professionalization on the basis of the results. Research conclusions are as follows:1. Primary and secondary schools PE teachers in Shanghai Xuhui, the structure of gender, age and teaching age are quite reasonable. Middle-aged and young teachers have become the backbone of the PE teachers.2. Primary and secondary schools PE teachers in Shanghai Xuhui, the degree structure is given priority to with bachelor degree or above.3. The choice of teaching form and content, engineering contradictions is the main factors restricting the current of Xuhui district’s primary and secondary school PE teachers to participate the vocational training.
