| Self-control is the basis of constantly personalization and socialization to individual itself, also is the mark from naive to mature. A large number of studies have shown that early childhood is the critical period for developing the level of self-control that is close contact with their future academic, career development, interpersonal and health problems and so on. However, the status quo of the development of children’s self-control in China is not optimistic, children’s capricious, withdrawal, aggression, strong dependency problems are still the common occurance, and in combination with the lack of physical education curriculum in the kindergarten, result in serious problems such as poor health or obesity, so seize the children’s self-control training, adopt the way of sports game to cultivate children’s level of self-control is of great significance.This research adopts the Yang Li Zhu and her colleagues’ dimensions of self-control( self-control, self-consciousness, perseverance, self delayed gratification), and reference to previous research on the classification of self-control, and also combined with the mechanism of self-control(internalization for rules, acquisition for skills),designing a set of sport games as a prescription to promote the children’s self-control ability. This game plan designed 7 games, each game has a certain focus on the one aspect of the self-control. At the same time, we picked two classes(the middle shift children) from a kindergarten in Shanghai(a class as the experimental group, another for the control group), and we implement the sport games in the experimental group of children according to the plan. After the intervention, we using "Children’s self-control of teacher assessment questionnaire" designed by Yang Li Zhu, and "blockhead" game as the measurement tools to collect data information and test the effect of the games.According to the results of data analysis and discussion, finally we acquired the following conclusions:First, the implementation of "prescription" of sport games improved the level of the middle shift children’s self-control.Second, children’s ability of inhibitory control is lower than goal-oriented control.Third, the "prescription" of sport games, which designed to cultivate children’s level of self-control are feasible.Fourth, the using of skills strategy can effectively help children strengthen the ability of self-control.Fifth, the words of the adult guidance can affect children’s ability of self-control. |
