Research On The Construction Of Small And Medium - Sized Learning City Under The Background Of New Urbanization

Small cities are the new urbanization of the main battlefield, which are also the best practice areas of harmonious cities’ construction. The urbanization quality of small cities related to the efficiency of the new urbanization of the socialism with Chinese characteristics and related to building a well-off society and modernization as a whole. The learning city is the inherent requirements of the new urbanization construction to stimulate and promote innovation and vitality. Therefore, the construction of a learning city for promoting the construction of new urbanization has important strategic significance. At present, many domestic researches on learning city is mainly concentrated in large cities, while are less attention to small cities, based on the background of the new urbanization to construct learning cities is scarcely to watch out, which also provides a research-based thesis space.Firstly, this paper is to comb and describe briefly about the concept of small cities and learning city. Also analyzes the main characteristics of the learning city, and based on the feature of the‘learning’ to proposed five features of the learning cities: the concept of universality for learning, the full of learning behavior, the diversity for learning support, the equality of opportunities for learning, the generalization of learning organization, which are laid the theoretical foundation for the construction of learning city especially for the small learning city. Secondly, based on the background of the new urbanization to analysis didactically of the necessity and feasibility of the construction of small learning cities. Again, analyzing on the background,the practices and the basic results of the construction of Kunshan citiy and Yiwu city to sump up their experiences. Finally, based on the analysis by theoretical analysis and the typical case and under the proposed new urbanization background, the construction of small learning cities should explore from six aspects path, such as the rational planning of urban construction, segmented promote, build lifelong education system, the development of a learning organization, foster urban human spirit, to create a wide range of learning support.
