The education reform is flourishing with the development of education practice. Educators explore the regularities of education development in the process of education reform. But a variety of educational problems appear in the education practice constantly, the education has been questioned by public, and the sense of trust for education is decreasing, which affects the development of education practice seriously, and also damages the interests of the participants of education. In the way of exploring the sources of education problems, it’s no difficult to find orientation of education value influences and determines the education practice.To confirm the orientation of value is the key point of education reform. With the utilitarianism prevailing in current social environment, utilitarianism has become the actual orientation of education value. Under the guidance of utilitarianism, all the education activities to purse the outside interests of education, which includes money, status, reputation, and to ignore the essence of education. The result is a variety of the education problems were formed in education practice. Education as a kind of practice, its implementation is required to comply with own virtue, which it’s meaning to pursuit the intrinsic interest of education, and to emphasize the truth,the kindness and the beauty of education. Virtue should be the ideal education value orientation.Education with virtue as the value orientation is concerned all the participants of education,focusing on the human existence in education, and correct the current situation of ignoring people in utilitarian education.This paper aims to interpret the education virtue by virtue practice, to explore the current actual utilitarianism orientation of education value and ideal virtue orientation of education value.And find the paths to make the education back to explore the virtue and essence of education.This is also helpful for education participants to promote the development of virtue. The article is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. In the introduction, first it presents the origins and significations of the study; secondly, reviews the domestic and foreign relevant research on education virtue, mainly from the education value, value orientation, virtue; the last is the research methods of this paper.The second part is the interpretation of virtue practice. This part mainly discusses the virtue theory of Aristotle and Mcintyre; and to demonstrate education is virtue practice.The third part is the ideal orientation of education value. To discuss the virtue should be the ideal orientation of education value. The education purpose, participants of education and education result correspond to virtue.The fourth part is the actual orientation of education value. In this section demonstrates the education features with Utility-center orientation of education value, this orientation of value brings a variety of education problems in education practice; finally presents the rationality of utility in the practice.The fifth part is the paths to the orientation of education value reform. To reform the orientation of education value first require to ensure the possibilities, mainly from the education needs of participants, education reformers, education reform policies. Second is to find the impediments of conform, which include four aspects:(1) solidification of cognition, mode of thinking(2) education habits influence education reform(3) the mechanism of education evaluation is inadequate(4) divergences of education interests.The education value guides education reform, exploring the essence of education also influence the choice of education value orientation. The first step is to ensure the possibilities of education reform, which were discussed from the education need of education participants,education reformers, education reform policies and current situation of education. The second is the barriers to reform, which there are four aspects: The last is the research about the reform paths.
