With the pace of curriculum reform and the promulgation of the new curriculum standard, mathematics teaching material also entered a new writing time. The current teaching material of ordinary high school in our country mainly have three versions, version of Beijing Normal University Press, version of Jiangsu Education Press Sue version, version of People Education Press, which is the most widely used in teaching materials. In order to make new teaching materials better implementation, and the teaching work better development, study for new teaching material analysis is very essential. Since the17th century, thanks to the development of navigation, astronomy, mechanics, economy, analytic geometry came into being, and is applied in every branch of mathematics. Not only Analytic geometry relates algebra and geometry, but also it’s the bridge of elementary mathematics to higher mathematics, introduction of high school curriculum is of great significance. This article mainly analyzes version A of People Education Press, which is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is introduction, including question proposed, research background and significance, research status, research methods. The second chapter mainly is the curriculum reform and New Curriculum Standards, carefully reading curriculum. Chapter3and Chapter4are the main part of the article, also is the main content of author’s work. The third chapter analyzes version A from the teaching material arrangement, column setup, content structure, education function. The fourth chapter is the proposal on the basis of the teaching material analysis, the set of teaching materials and teaching advice. The fifth chapter is conclusion and reflection, sums up features of version A of People Education Press, points out some problems in the teaching material should be further discussed. The paper not only compares with old teaching materials, and reference version of Beijing Normal University Press, complement each other, and put forward constructive Suggestions.In this paper, using literature analysis, content analysis, statistical analysis, comparative research, and interview method to analyze version A of the teaching material. With old material and version of Beijing Normal University Press, we find that coordinate method has prominent position in the textbook, column setup is rich, education function is more comprehensive. Of course, version A of the teaching material has disadvantages, such as some knowledge of choreography still need to improve. Based on the research of the teaching material analysis, which can help teachers know the teaching material better and use teaching materials in the course of teaching activities.
