Some teenagers committed suicide because of bullying in Japan since the 1980s. Although the domestic bullying problem is not so serious as Japan, it tends to become more serious. Besides, bullying affects the formation of adolescents’ personality and the healthy growth of body and mind seriously,and even threatens the adolescents’life. So the research on bullying situation, causes and measures is very necessary.The paper uses the method of questionnaire and interview, and makes the college students’ experience of a college in Japan as a case study. The paper focuses on bullying situation and causes, and summarizes the measures Japan takes, and introduces the enlightenment given by Japan on bullying problem to our country. The results are as follows:1. A number of college students have the experience of bullying. Bulling is mainly happens in the period from grade 4 in primary school to grade 2 in junior high school, and mainly occurs in the school.2. Bullying is mostly happens between classmates or the same club members. The direct verbal bullying is the main type of bulling, the second is the relationship bulling, and then is the direct physical bullying and possession bullying.3. Boys are more likely to become bullies, and girls are more likely to become the bulled. Moreover, the targets of boys are mainly boys, the targets of girls are mainly girls. The phenomenon boys bully girls is more than that girls bully boys.4. Bulling is related to the micro system, middle system, and macro system. The reasons include the biological, physiological, cognitive and other factors, and is also related to school, family, peer and culture.5. In order to prevent bulling, nation, local government, school, family and community need to take responsibility and work together.
