| Bystanding behavior in campus bullying means that students don’t take action to rescue the weaker students when they are watching one or some stronger students attack them,although students know that victims need help when they are harmed physically or psychologically.This research uses questionnaire,interview and peer nomination to study the current situation and characteristics of bystanding behavior in campus bullying from grade one to grade three in junior middle school.This study also analyzes the causes of bystanding behavior in campus bullying,and explores the model of helping behavior in campus bullying,at the same time,the author sets up some countermeasures and suggestions about educating and leading bystanding behavior in campus bullying.This study designed the questionnaire of the bystanding behavior in campus bullying of junior middle schools,and this questionnaire is made up of basic information,the investigation of bystanding behavior and the causes of bystanding behavior.This study uses questionnaire to investigate 431 junior middle school students,and the author found that there are some bystanding behavior,at the same time,also summarize the follwing characteristics:first,girls’ bystanding behavior is much more than boys’;second,junior grade’s bystanding behavior is more than high grade ’ s;third,class leaders ’ bystanding behavior is almost the same as other students;fourth,for students with poor grades,they have more bystanding behavior,and they usually watch the scene of bustle for entertainment;fifth,ordinary secondary schools’ bystanding behavior is more than model middle schools’;Sixth,students who have more experience of bystanding behavior usually watch the scene of bustle for entertainment.But the author has not found that class leaders,local students,only child and parents’ education background have obvious influence on bystanding behavior.Through the results of interviews,construct the helping behavior choice model,found in students’ implementation of the process of helping behavior is to overcome the situation difficult process.This study found that there are seven aspects of inducing bystanding behavior’s causes,and interpretation ratio from high level to low level are: victims’ characteristics,bystanders’ empathic ability,methods of bystanders stop bullying,the relationship between bystanders and bullying on bothsides,the intervening situation of campus bullying,the number of people and manifestation who are on the scene,bystanders’ helping ability.In view of the causes of bystanding behavior,the author comes up with following suggestions of education and guidance:First,pay attention to improve the ability of facing campus bullying incidents in junior students,and create the chance for helping behavior;Second,use emotional recall method to cultivate students’ empathic ability,and make them play an important role in eliminating junior middle schools’ campus bullying;Third,cultivate junior middle school students’ sence of responsibility and sence of justice,and make them be not indiffrent to campus bullying;Forth,establish flow chart of helping behavior in peer group,also can supervise and correct bystanding behavior in campus bullying;Fifth,strenghthen the ordinary secondary schools’ management of campus bullying,and reduce the occurrence probability of bystanding behavior in campus bullying. |
