Personality education is to train the students’ psychological quality, value concept and non intelligence aspects in the basis of imparting knowledge and skills, the all-round development of students, and form a perfect and independent personality. At present, the world of education all emphasize the development of students’ personality, not only attach importance to intellectual development, training and attention to the students’ emotional attitude, personality development, innovation consciousness and ability. Junior Ideological and moral lesson is a comprehensive course which includes political theory, citizen morality, politics hot, cultural life and so on, rich teaching content is very beneficial for the education resources to carry out the education of personality. Strengthen not only the personality education in Ideological and moral teaching is the objective requirement of quality education, but also the internal needs of junior high school students physical and mental development, to help students to establish a correct outlook on life, help students to develop good moral character, to help the students to create training creative thinking, to help the students to improve the ability of self and communication ability, is conducive to the realization of Ideological and moral lesson objectives. In teaching practice, some schools, teachers and students’ understanding of personality education has some misunderstanding, the need to further improve the ideological understanding, update their concepts of education, improve the teaching mode, the initiative to mobilize the teachers and students, to achieve the perfect ideological and moral teaching and personality education fusion. The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part defines the connotation, basic concept and personality education, personality and the content of the goal, also described the development history of foreign and Chinese personality educationThe second part mainly from the personality education is the objective requirement of quality education, personality education is the internal need of personality education, personality development of junior high school students is the real need of the curriculum reform in three aspects, expounds the necessity of personality education in the ideological and moral teachingThe third part analyzes the unfavorable factors influencing the effectiveness of Ideological and moral course of personality education in the schools, teachers, students from three aspects.According to the fourth part of the ideological and moral lessons and personality education teaching goal, update teaching ideas, play an exemplary role of teachers, improve teaching mode as well as the effective method of personality education, strengthen ideological and moral lesson exploration.
