Jin Chengliang is one of the famous superfine teachers and mathematics teaching experts with outstanding contribution in China. Engaged in the study of mathematics education of middle school and normal school for 60 years. he has put forward many unique ideological achievements for mathematics teaching and studying, which provided enlightenment and reference for us to research on mathematics teaching of elementary and secondary school and teacher education research. Learning and studying the mathematics teaching thought of Jin Chengliang has great significance for exploring the growth trajectory and law of famous superfine teachers and promoting teaching and teachers’ professional development.Based on the studying of the era background and practical process of Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought, this paper goes deep into the studies of the principal content of Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought, explores the main factors of forming his mathematics education thought, and investigates the inspiration of Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought to the current mathematics teaching in primary and secondary school as well as the significant influences on mathematics teachers’ professional development.Part one:Through consulting relevant literature. system summarizing the current existing researches on mathematics education thought of well-known experts and scholars systematically and introduces the contents, methods, purpose and significance as well as the definition of related concepts of Jin Chengliang’s thought of mathematics education.Part two:Describing the era background and practical process of Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought.Part three:Describing and summarizing the principal research content of Jin Chengliang’s mathematics teaching thought detailedly and systematically. It is divided into two main aspects: mathematics teaching thought in primary and secondary school and mathematics teachers’ teaching ideas in elementary school.Part four:Exploring the main influencing factors of forming Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought.Part five:By Combining Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought with the current mathematics teaching practice, this paper explores the inspiration of Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought to the current mathematics teaching as well as the significant influences on mathematics teacher education of primary school. Jin Chengliang’s mathematics teaching thought to guide teachers of mathematics classroom teaching have important reference value, also have help guidance to students’ mathematics learning. Jin Chengliang’s thought about mathematics teacher education of primary school could provide direct reference for the professional growth of primary school teachers.Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought is a precious wealth in mathematics education in our country. As a case study, the main purpose is to provide consultation and reference for promoting the development of the mathematics teaching in primary and secondary school as well as mathematics teacher education in our country through the study and research of Jin Chengliang’s mathematics education thought and absorbing its quintessence.
