In the information age, information literacy as the talent’s ability is attracting more and more attention all over the world. In 2000, the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on Popularizing Information Technology Education in Primary School and Middle School, which popularized information technology education in primary school and middle school and aimed to improve the information literacy of the whole nation. In the February of 2001, the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on Popularizing Information Technology Education in Primary School and Middle School and the Directive compendium for Information Technology Subject. In the notice, China would spend 5-10 years (from 2001) on the popularization of information technology education in primary school and middle school and determined to realize the rapid development of the national primary education by promoting the modernization of education with information. Although the two files didn’t mention of the students in the secondary vocational school specifically, the information quality of the students in the secondary vocational school has direct relation with social productivity level and decide the development speed of national economy because the secondary vocational school students are going into the community to participate in the work directly after three-year study. Therefore, improving the students’ information quality is imminent.Based on the researches of medical secondary vocational school students’ information literacy, information literacy connotation characteristics and other aspects of the standard basis, mainly through the questionnaire survey method of students in Nanjing Medical Secondary Vocational School were investigated, the result of the questionnaire were statistically and analysis of cause of formation, and then combined with the specific countermeasures are presented to improve information literacy of the students in vocational school is proposed. This paper is divided into five parts. In the first part, it describes the research meaning and reviews the current research at home and abroad. In the second part, the connotation of the information accomplishment is arranged and the information literacy that medical students in the secondary vocational schools should have is elaborated. In the third part, sampling investigation on Nanjing Medical Secondary Vocational School students is conducted through questionnaire survey method. In the fourth part, the results are counted and the cause of the current status of information literacy is analyzed. In the fifth part, the ways of improving information literacy is put forward based on the status of students’information literacy. In the sixth part, this paper is summed up.
