Politics curriculum standards of senior high school advocate the open interactive teaching mode and cooperative inquiry-based way of learning. With the new curriculum reform going on, more attention has been focused on the inquiry-based teaching approach which has been widely used in senior high schools. The writer has investigated the implementation of the "Economic life" inquiry-based teaching, and has found some deficiencies about the approach in teaching practice. This paper not only clarifies the basic concept and objective of the "Economic life" inquiry-based teaching, but also aims to analyze problems occurred during the practice of the inquiry-based teaching, to explore implementation strategies to improve the "Economic life" inquiry-based teaching, and to provide teachers with practical teaching references. This paper is divided into the following chapters:Chapter 1 describes the concept and objective of the "Economic life" inquiry-based teaching. This chapter is composed by reading relevant documentation, analyzing current researchers’ study, and studying the unique features of the "Economic life" inquiry-based teaching such as its subject knowledge, teaching goals, and teaching function.Chapter 2 is about the current implementation of the "Economic life" inquiry-based teaching. Empirical research methods like classroom observation and interview are employed to learn the implementation status, including the effect, improper implementation, and analysis on existing problems.Chapter 3 describes the implementation strategy of the "Economic life" inquiry-based teaching. Based on the previous chapter, this part focuses on improving the inquiry-based teaching from three aspects:create a context, guide the inquiry process, and optimize the teaching evaluation.
