Secondary vocational school mathematics is relatively difficult among the basic subjects. Due to its knowledgeable and logical trait, a group of students become antipathetic to mathematics, even turn pale at the only mention of mathematics. In fact, mathematics itself comes from life, is used in life, and closely contact with life. It will be easily accepted by students when it’s relevant to life. Refer to the secondary vocational school mathematics teaching syllabus issued by the nation in2009:teachers should choose teaching materials that stress the vocational characteristics, close to reality and daily life. Teaching materials should be easily understood and acknowledged by students, be propitious to improve students’interest in learning. Based on the above, this thesis conducts an empirical research to the life oriented teaching strategy of secondary vocational school mathematics, discovered and summarized five teaching strategies in teaching practice, hope to wake the students to the inseparability of mathematics and daily life, mathematics and vocational education, improve students’interest, accomplishment and in-class efficiency in mathematics, play a positive role in changing the status of secondary vocational school mathematics teaching.This thesis consists of six parts:The first part raised the problem:mainly explains the reason and background of the selection of this topic, the main idea and methodology of this research.The second part analyzed the life oriented teaching strategy theoretically, interpreted the meaning of the life oriented teaching, refined three principles of life oriented teaching strategies and studied the theoretical foundation of life oriented teaching.The third part makes a literature review, summary and comment, according to the meaning of life oriented teaching, based on understanding of the present situation of life oriented teaching mathematics at home and abroad, further clarified the significance of this research.The fourth part is the practical research of life oriented teaching of mathematics in secondary vocational school:Researcher did a quantitative analysis through questionnaires and interviews, investigated the mathematics teachers of their teaching concept and ability, teaching content and patterns, analyzed learning interest and life oriented teaching effect on students, comprehensively understood the life oriented teaching strategy and the present situation of the implementation and the existing problems of it.The fifth part is based on the teaching practice, researcher explored and summarized five life orient strategies for secondary vocational school’s mathematics teaching:created life situations, improved mathematics learning interest; focused teaching contents on the vocational curriculum needs, optimized and integrated the textbooks; used mathematical knowledge and skills reasonably, solved problems in real life; expanded the teaching form, built the mathematics experimental class; designed mathematics applied problems hierarchically, enhanced the strategy of returning to life consciousness, meanwhile designed concretely the secondary vocational school mathematics classroom teaching. This part is the key content of this thesis.The sixth part is the cogitation and outlook of life oriented teaching strategy of secondary vocational school mathematics, according to the actual situation of using the above strategy in teaching practice, life oriented teaching strategy shows a positive role in teaching, but also problems to be solved.Life oriented teaching strategy of secondary vocational school mathematics needs a long-term process of research, believe that through further experiments, the superiority of this strategy will be highlighted in the future.
