At Effective physical education teaching is continuation and deepening of effective education theory. Based on the efficient teaching theory and empirical research indomestic and aboard, this study proposes effective physical education teaching theoryby using literature, observation, survey research and other research methods. Meanwhile, it also analyzes the influential factors of PE teaching effectiveness. Moreover, this paper expounds the characteristics of PE teaching. Thus it can provide the reference for sportsteaching.Effective Physical Education Teaching is a kind of teaching in which PE teachingprocess accords with sports teaching regularity. It is an effective, beneficial and efficient teaching.PE teaching activity can cultivate both body and minds, during which teachers should be practical and realistic, respect PE teaching regularity and avoid reckless foolhardy. To comply with the basic law of PE teaching is the basic condition to realize the effective teaching. If the physical education teaching does not meet the law, it is inefficient or negative effective, even if effective. Effectiveness and benefit is the basic requirement and prerequisite of effective physical education, with efficiency its highest goal. According with the physical education law “effective”, “efficient”, and “benefit” constitute the connotation and extension of effective physical education teaching. If lacking one of them, it can not be called effective physical education. Accordingly, the effective physical education is defined as: effective physical education during which teachers follow the law of the process of physical education so as to cause, stimulate, maintain and promote the student’s physical education successfully. Moreover, it is also the teaching to achieve the established Teaching effectiveness and gain the scheduled teaching efficiency. To achieve effective PE teaching, firstly, it depends on the right decisions that physical education teachers and related personnel make in PE class; secondly, it depends on how to implement those decisions.
