Research On The Problems And Countermeasures In The Process Of State Grants In Private Colleges

As Education has received more and more attention, especially after the the Enrollment Expansion of Colleges,the quantity of private colleges and universities is growing very fast. Because the funds of private colleges school mainly borne by the schools themselves, the tuition is increasingly going up, which makes the students from poor families lose the chance of higher education. The state grants create and guarantee an opportunity for those poor students.as a result of the differences of standards, principle, work flow of review, the result and effect of which is not very satisfying, and it doesn’t benefit those students who are in need.Through access to relevant documents, based on the private universities, combined with the actual situation of work, selected the data of visit and research of two private universities of Dalian as samples This study reveals some shortcomings of review: The standards of evaluation are fuzzy, drab, and lack of scientific rationality; the method of evaluation are simple and somewhat inappropriate; the process of evaluation is too rough and not standardized; the implementation of evaluation is not in place, the focus is offset; the effect of evaluation is not positive, which has no favor on students’ self-discipline.After cautious analysis on the survey, this study proposes some feasible countermeasures:first, establish a standard system, making a quantitative and qualitative meticulous combination; second, make a multi-dimension evaluation method; third, standardize effective review process; at last, take effective steps to strengthen the management of aid-receiving students.
