Since China launched a new round of basic education curriculum reform in 2001, the concept of textbooks has always been the focus of discussion. However, the reserrch on the concept of textbooks for the junior high school mathematics teachers is little. The basic connotation of junior high school mathematics teachers’ textbooks concept is for traction in this paper, the main research contents are as follows:1.A questionnaire survey and interviews on the current situation of junior high school mathematics teachers’ attitude towards textbooks, study was conducted on two junior high school mathematics teachers in the investigationd and the main content of the survey is about the teachers’ attitude of the objective of the textbooks, the content of the textbooks,the structure of the textbooks and the textbooks in practice.2.Analysis of the current situation of junior high school mathematics teachers’ attitude towards textbooks is mainly on two aspects:one is the shortcomings of the four aspects of textbooks concept,the other is causes of the problems.3. Some suggestions combined analysis of the survey are put forward on the basis of the discussion on the theoretical junior high school mathematics teachers’ attitude towards textbooksThe research technique of this paper is mainly the questionnaire survey and interviews. Seek the support of theory for the study of junior high school mathematics teachers’ attitude towards textbooks through the research on the access of the teachers’ conceptions of textbooks and learning, and determine the four dimensions of the attitude of the textbooks:the concept of textbooks objectives, the concept of textbooks content, the concept of textbooks structure and the concept of textbooks teaching.On the analysis for the purpose of the current situation of junior high school mathematics teachers’ attitude towards textbooks, the following conclusion is put forward:1.For the concept of textbooks objectives, there are some certain differences among the math teachers in junior high school.The differences absulutely existes in the attitude of the textbooks function, the attitude of textbooks value and the attitude of textbooks objectives;2. For the concept of textbooks content, the vast majority of teachers think that the selection of textbooks content must reflect the level of development of the knowledge and ability of students, and associate with their actual life. Quite a number of teachers pay little attention to their mathematical experience in mathematics learning process, they more concerns about how much knowledge the students study;3.For the concept of textbooks structure, the understanding of the mathematics teachers of junior high school is the smallest difference in the four dimensions. Most of the teachers are in favor of mixed materials, and agree with structure recognition to adapt to students’ cognitive characteristics;4.Forthe concept of textbooks teaching, some teachers still only identity textbooks, just use the textbooks for teachings, and are not ease to deal with textbooks. Many teachers consider the needs of the students, but the examination is still a major consideration by some teachers. Most teachers will give full consideration to the needs of the students in the practical teaching, and is pleasure to change the teaching method according to the demands of the students and use a variety of teaching methods.
