Classroom teaching is the central link of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and classroom activities are an important part of classroom teaching. With the development of Chinese teaching in Thailand, the studies of Chinese classroom activities in Thailand are becoming more and more meaningful. This paper is to make a research on Somdetpittayakom School in Kalasin province in northeastern Thailand, summarize the characteristics of Somdetpittayakom School learners and their demands on Chinese classroom activities through classroom observation and questionnaire survey, and select and design a specific classroom activities for students according to the characteristics and needs of students. This paper is to show these more common and successful classroom activities, do feedback on the survey results through questionnaires in different graders in accordance to their acceptance of specific classroom activities as well as rethink and adjust the specific classroom activities at the same time. At last, the paper summarizes the experience, lessons and enlightenment of designing and processing activities.The classroom activities in Somdetpittayakom School have achieved the successful experience as follows:firstly, to find out the characteristics of students, classroom activities should be designed and selected according to the characteristics of the students; secondly, the difficulty of activities should be adjusted according to students’ level; thirdly, activities in groups are more likely to be successful; fourthly, to give more encouragement to student, and activity participation will be higher; fifthly, if teachers and students participate in activities together, students will be more motivated. The gained lessons are that do not ignore the student’s subjective will, and the activity time should not be too long.Lastly, the author has achieved some enlightenments:classroom activities are essential to Chinese classes in Thai high schools.What’s more, these activities should be designed and selected according to the students’ characteristics and needs, and they can be more successful in forms of activities with groups, encouraging methods, and teachers and students participating together. Meanwhile, the carrying out of classroom activities requires the teachers to pay attention to classroom management when carrying out classroom activities and teachers need to reflect on it timely afterwards. The author hopes the research can provide some reference and help other volunteer teachers in Thailand.
